For the stuff that keeps circling back.

Anxiety. Relationship patterns you can name but can't stop. Reactions that don't feel like the real you.

We get underneath them together, using IFS and EFT in plain language, and you'll leave with something real from the very first session.

Attachment-focused, virtual across Alberta and Ontario, for all ages and stages.

Parts work, in actual English

Ever have an argument in your head where no one's winning? That's where we start.

Almost everyone says yes to that question. IFS, Internal Family Systems, just gives that inner conversation clear language: those different voices are parts of you. One part wants the promotion and signs you up for the extra training; another part says “absolutely not, that sounds terrifying, why would we apply?” One part of you wants to stay in the relationship; another part wants to go.

Here's the analogy I use: think of a kindergarten class. When the teacher is present and calm, the kids, even the loud ones, feel safe and things run smoothly. When the teacher steps out, the loudest kids take over the room. Therapy helps the calm, grounded you get back in the room, so the loudest parts don't have to run the show.

None of your parts are the enemy. Every one of them is trying to protect you. Once you understand what each one is protecting, the patterns finally make sense, and things that make sense can change.

People don't come to therapy wanting to cope with their life. They want a life that feels fuller.
Why I don't just hand out coping tools
Who this work is for

If any of these are you, you're my people.

  1. You've diagnosed yourself with “attachment issues” at 11pm

thanks to Google, TikTok, or ChatGPT, and now you want to actually understand your pattern with someone who knows the terrain. (Some of you have diagnosed your partner too. We can talk about that.)

  2. You get intensely dysregulated in relationships

and want to figure out why before you enter the next one, or while you're dating anxiously right now.

  3. You know you push people away

and you're tired of watching it happen without understanding what it protects.

  4. You're navigating a stage-of-life shift

newly married, new baby, divorce, career stall, a launch that hasn't launched.

And also…

A few more doors into this work.

  • You want to explore sexuality or identity: with a therapist who is open to hearing anything and everything, judgement-free.
  • The same stuff keeps circling back: even though you've talked about it a hundred times. Talking wasn't the problem. The missing piece was someone tying the dots together.
  • You're one half of a couple in therapy: I also see individuals whose relationship is in couples work with another therapist (never both roles at once, of course).
  • You want depth, not just strategies: insight AND tools, because understanding why the pattern exists is what makes the tools finally stick.
Right from session one

You'll leave with something.

An insight, a bit of language, or one small thing to try before next week. I'm not a vent-and-listen-forever therapist, and you won't wonder where the hour went.
